Aug 3rd, 2008 by Addy | 0

The term geekspeak refers to arcane jargon or a special vocabulary popularized by individuals immersed in computers and other fields of IT-which, coincidentally, is geekspeak for Information Technology. The Importance of Side Projects

Aug 1st, 2008 by Addy | 0

Being genuinely and productively busy is one thing that most of the programmers I interviewed for my new book, “Secrets of the Rockstar Programmers: Riding the IT Crest” have in common. Certainly, this state of affairs is something most of the top notch programmers I’ve met have in common, interviewee or not. Video Analytics Solutions Are Not All Created Equal

Aug 1st, 2008 by Addy | 0

The use of video analytics is growing rapidly in the surveillance market. It has proven indispensable in high-risk security projects, and is becoming increasingly popular in commercial jobs for a wide range of applications, including outdoor protection, customer service measurements, people counting, crowd monitoring, and many others.

We are not far from the day when most video products will include embedded content analysis, making all video products smarter. However, there is a lack of solid technical information to help compare available technologies. Jul 13th, 2008 by Addy | 0

I really enjoyed Dan Ronco’s latest book, Unholy Domain, it is set in the near future, and paints a bleak picture of what might happen in the aftermath of a computer virus that spreads through the Internet. More and more the net is becoming part of the worlds infrastructure. Email is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity. If you look at 20 bill boards advertising companies you will find that 19 of them will have a www address rather than a phone number. Our reliance and acceptance of the Internet is all consuming. But is our reliance on the net too muche

I had the opportunity to ask Dan Ronco.

How to Fully Utilize Web Innovations Today

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

An external corporate blog is a publicly-viewable corporate blog where the company’s employees or spokespersons share their opinions. This type of corporate blog is often used to promote new services and products, to react to public criticism, or to clarify some policies. It is often more informal than traditional press releases although corporate blogs aim to accomplish the same goals as press releases. Essentially they are a public relations tool and can be biased, but they also offer more honest opinions than traditional communication channels. They also add a different level of credibility that is often not found in corporate websites, and can interact with consumers at a more personal and informal level.

Web innovators must be conscious of such bleeding-edge technologies that might be of interest to users. In general, innovators can turn to the original plans, with all the processes of web development that operates constantly.
