His boss set the fees for the advertising, but Don found a way to go into the company computer and change the figures to whatever he wanted on individual accounts. If Thomas Edison were alive today he would provide a great resource on what to do when it seems like failure is the norm. Edison made a lot of money from his improvements to existing inventions and he was clear that those improvements came at a great price, but he also provided great encouragement when he said that if we were able to do all the things we are capable of we would astound ourselves.

When Edison’s lab facility burned down he is reported to have said that the event was simply putting past failures aside and finding a second chance at getting things right.

You see a guy on the street. He’s wearing a trench coat and he’s got a few days of razor stubble on a chin that pokes out from under his fedora. You’re experience begins when he says, “Psssst. Hey you. Come here for a minute.”

He opens the folds of his coat to show a makeshift wrack of designer watches he can sell at a ‘discount’. What would convince you to buy from this mane

Needless to say I’ve been up watching late night movies about old time New York, but the truth is there is something about this visual representation we’ve all seen in movies, television and commercials that has a bearing on moneymaking ideas.

We’ve all been asked what we would do if money were no object to achieving our goals or acquiring a desired item. I suppose in one sense this would seem a perfect solution. No one has money and everything is free.

Can you imagine wanting a new luxury car and simply walking to a dealership (or to a grocery store parking lot) and simply driving off with it because you wanted it.

Why would anyone want to cook or serve you at a restaurante There would be no tangible reason to do so. There is no means of motivating someone to stay in a position without pay.

Gene would not be the poster child for a pop star. The truth is the closest thing to pop music he ever listened to was a country station back in Wyoming. For his 60th birthday his daughter bought him a banjo. Within five years he also acquired a mandolin, guitar and fiddle.

As a young man he learned to play the accordion. When times got tight he sold the accordion and learned to play the piano at church. Gene had always loved music. Mostly he played for his own enjoyment, for church and sometimes for family and friends.
