It takes a while to really get to know your clients and longstanding customers. But a good business relationship is always tinged with a personal element; through time, you begin to learn about the people with whom you regularly do business. Through conversations you learn what they enjoy, what they collect, what their interests, hobbies, and activities are. This is a very productive level to reach in any business relationship, because at that point you can begin to tailor your promotional products and gifts more specifically to your most valuable clients. Of course, you can learn those things about a potential client, as well, through research and conversation, and then devise a marketing strategy around those interests, to persuade your future customer that a business relationship with you would be equally beneficial to them.
