Could Chamomile Be Your Key to a Good Night\’s Sleepe

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

There was a period in my life where I had a great deal of difficulty falling asleep. In fact, I can remember dreading going to bed because I knew that no matter how tired I was, I would be restless. After I had suffered like this for some time, I eventually talked to my mother who suggested that I try some meditation or relaxation techniques like Yoga as well as have a hot cup of chamomile tea just prior to going to bed. For some time now, many naturalists as well as other people have sworn by chamomile for its soothing, calming effects on people. Like many plants that have dual uses, chamomile has been used for centuries to relieve symptoms associated with anxiety and insomnia. Chamomile is even used as a topical ointment to help treat and sooth minor skin irritations such as bug bites, poison ivy and a host of other things. If you look at the labels of different skin care products, you will often find that chamomile is one of the main ingredients. That being said, chamomile is a great alternative to many of the prescribed sleeping aids that you see doctors giving patients nowadays. It is not addicting or nearly as dangerous.

Are You Getting Your Vitaminse

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

Lately, I’ve been feeling really sluggish at work as well as outside of work. This past weekend, I had a family function that required me to go to my cousin’s graduation. Normally, I would have been fine; however, at the end of the day I just felt totally exhausted! The next morning, we had to meet my family for breakfast. The whole production only took approximately an hour or two of my time. However, after I finished spending some quality time with my family, I was in my car with my boyfriend and told him I felt like I was going to pass out from exhaustion. Almost as soon as we got back to our apartment, I sat on the couch for a minute and fell asleep. I awoke later to find out that I had been out cold for almost four hours straight! I couldn’t believe how tired I was. And if that wasn’t enough, when I got up, I STILL felt tired! I attribute my recent bout of being tired with not eating right as well as not taking vitamins. There is a good chance that my iron levels are low, which could be a contributing factor in me not feeling so hot.

Could a Lack of Sleep Be Killing Youe

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

Last week, I was more concerned about getting my work for work done than I was about getting the sleep I apparently needed. I was getting up early in the morning to do work before heading to work to do more work; and then when I got home, I would do more work for work. The average work week is 40 hours for a full time person; I averaged 53. I thought that I could keep it up too, which is the funny part. I somehow managed to trick my body into thinking that it wasn’t tired because I didn’t feel tired. Perhaps I was just really pumped about getting as much work done as I could. I was averaging maybe five hours of sleep each night. That’s a loooong work day. On top of that, I had family come in for the weekend, so I now had to worry about driving around and entertaining people. On Sunday, at the end of this long week, I came back to my apartment and collapsed on the couch after what I had considered to be only two hours of spending time with my family. I never took into account the fact that I had been going all week long with little to no break. I was, instead, baffled at the fact that I would be so tired after doing nothing really but spending some quality time with family for a couple of hours. However, my body had been trying to tell me all along that I needed rest, which is what I eventually realized when I woke up four hours later.

How Garlic Can Make You Healthier

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

You know, my mom always told me that garlic was good for you. In fact, I can remember days when I had sore throats when I was younger and she would steep garlic in boiling water and then give it to me in a mug to drink. Yuck! But the truth of the matter was that within the hour, I actually felt better. Supposedly, there are many healing qualities that garlic has. Garlic is also extremely healthy for you. It is good for your heart and can help your body fight off infections. The only downside of consuming garlic is that it causes you to have bad breath. But having bad breath (temporarily) pales in comparison to having a healthy immune system. There are also many myths that state that garlic can help stave off vampires (although this is yet to be proven).

Developing a Personal Weight Loss Plan

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

For many people, fitting the time in to work out or stay in shape can seem like mission impossible. Times have changed and in many couples, both partners work full time jobs. If you throw kids into the mix, it can get really hectic, and often one or both of the parents are scrambling after the children and whatever after-school activities they are involved in, which leaves little to no time for the parents to do what they want. Even if you are an adult and you’re not married, it can still be difficult sometimes to figure out a personal weight loss plan for yourself, short of starving your body of the nutrients it needs. For example, you may work a full time job but have overflow work that forces you to work long hours or from home. You may have deadlines to meet and/or family obligations, etc. Eventually, your body will wear down on you, so what’s a person to doe The point is, when things are important to us, we somehow find a way to make time for it. When developing a personal weight loss plan, you need to first sit down and prioritize what you feel is the most important thing in your life and work your way down from there. Once you have an idea of what the most important things are in your life, you will begin to figure out a way to fit fitness into your schedule.

How to Keep Your Bike Rust Free!

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

You cannot keep your bicycle away from rust unless you stop riding it completely. At the same time, there is no guarantee that if you stop using the bike it will not get rusted. And just to add to this ridiculous thought, there is no point in buying a bike if you do not use it in fear of rusts.

The situation is normal and simple - your bike will often develop rust and you would need to remove rusts as frequently as possible. And if you live in a moist or salty condition, you would need to follow the process more often.

Hydrogen Car Kits, Can You Run a Car on Watere

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

Due to the present oil crisis and the ever spiralling cost of gas, you have probably heard a lot of talk about Hydrogen Car Kits and how to run a car on water. When I first heard about these so called fuel saving devices, and the seemingly fantastic ways to make gas mileage improvements I must admit I was very sceptical, after all “cars that run on water” come on.

Tips For Roulette When Playing an American Roulette Wheel

Jul 10th, 2008 by Addy | 0

The game of roulette itself originated from France during the eighteenth century, although it also has ties to English and Italian games of the time. It is said to be a bit of a combination of several of these games, but was created and first became big in France. Some even say it was stolen from China and shipped over with Dominican Monks. The roots of the American roulette wheel are based on the original French game.
